God is mindful of you by Rick Warren

"For he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant." Luke 1:48a (NIV)

"When God is mindful of you, he notices everything in your life."

No one cares more about your life than God. No man, no woman, not even you. That's why God's destiny is always the best. God loves you perfectly and he is always thinking about you and thinking about what is best for you.

"Give God all your worries and all your cares for he is always thinking about you watching everything that concerns you" (1 Peter 5:7). Whatever concerns you, concerns God. Whatever you're worried about, whatever you're afraid of, whatever keeps you up at night, whatever gets your attention, gets God's attention. No one will care more about your life, so why not give him your life to care about?

Mary could say yes to God's plan for her life because she knew God was looking out for her and was always thinking about her. That's why she could sing praises to him and say, "for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant" (Luke 1:48a NIV).

What does it mean that God is mindful of you? It means he's alert, he's focused, he's paying attention. When God is mindful of you, he notices everything in your life. Matthew 10:19-30 says not even a sparrow can fall to the ground without God noticing. He even numbers every hair on your head. That's how close God pays attention to you.

That's why it's worth going God's way rather than your way. Accepting God's destiny for your life is the best plan.

Louie Giglio - Part 3

Last night we watched the last installment of the Louie Giglio DVD on Remix.

We never thought about it, but sometimes there is a selfish twist in our prayers when we say: “Watch over us and protect us”

Louie mentioned 2 problems with this phrase of prayer…

1. Watch over me? But He is IN me. So He is with us every day, the whole day.

2. God cannot guarantee to answer our prayer to protect us in every circumstance. What if He intends us to experience difficulty in order for us to take Jesus’ name forward.

Think about the story of the missionary in India, who gave up his life, and that of his 2 young sons, in order for the country to see the true spirit of forgiveness.

There is a Higher Value than Safety – to carry Jesus’s name forward and for the kingdom of heaven to be open to everyone.

Outwardly, we may waste away, but inwardly we are renewed and strengthened day by day.

Romans 8:28-29 (The Message)

26-28Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God's Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don't know how or what to pray, it doesn't matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.

29-30God knew what he was doing from the very beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love him along the same lines as the life of his Son. The Son stands first in the line of humanity he restored. We see the original and intended shape of our lives there in him. After God made that decision of what his children should be like, he followed it up by calling people by name. After he called them by name, he set them on a solid basis with himself. And then, after getting them established, he stayed with them to the end, gloriously completing what he had begun.

What Hymn will we sing when we are beat up, stripped naked, put in the stocks and persecuted for our faith?

The remix version of the prayer is :

GOD USE ME!

God’s Mission is the only mission worth giving our lives for.
